DTF Heat Pressing Instructions

Recommended Heat Press Settings
- Temperature: 310°F (154°C)
- Time: 6–10 seconds
- Pressure: Firm to Heavy
- Peel: Hot Peel (Peel immediately after pressing)
Note: Every heat press is different. You may need to make slight adjustments based on your equipment, garment, and environment.
Step 1: Prepare Your Garment
- Place your garment on the heat press.
- Remove any wrinkles by pre-pressing for 3–5 seconds.
- Make sure the garment is completely dry before applying your transfer.
Step 2: Position Your Transfer
- Place the transfer design face-up on the garment.
- Double-check placement before pressing.
Step 3: Press
Press using:
- 310°F
- 6–10 seconds
- Firm to Heavy Pressure
Step 4: Peel
Immediately peel the carrier sheet while it is still hot using a smooth, steady motion.
If any part of the design lifts, simply lay the film back down and press again for a few more seconds.
Step 5: Final Press (Recommended)
For maximum durability:
- Cover the design with parchment paper, butcher paper, or a Teflon sheet.
- Press again for 3–5 seconds using the same temperature and pressure.
This helps create a softer feel and improves wash durability.

Washing Instructions
- Wait 24 hours before washing.
- Wash garments inside out.
- Use cold water.
- Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not dry clean.
- Avoid ironing directly on the design.

Troubleshooting
Design isn't sticking
- Increase pressure.
- Press for an additional 2–4 seconds.
- Verify your heat press is reaching the correct temperature.
Design is lifting while peeling
- Lay the film back down.
- Repress for 3–5 seconds.
- Peel again while hot.
Garment has a press box
Lightly steam or wash the garment to remove press marks.
- Increase pressure.
